Installé à Hong-Kong, le jockey français Antoine Hamelin s'est imposé sur l'hippodrome d'Happy Valley dans un handicap sur 1200 m, en selle sur Family Folks, pour le compte de CW Chang. Il engrange le 4e succès de sa saison à Hong Kong, commencée en septembre. Il brise l'écart après avoir connu un trou d'air lors des 5 réunions disputées depuis son dernier succès le 3 novembre. Actuellement 3e du classement général, Alexis Badel était absent de cette réunion.
