André Quesny has always been a racing enthusiast and his first mare Ribambelle III produced him a winner. He has operated a small breeding enterprise for many years while working in the metal industry, but when the business closed a decade ago, André Quesny decided to devote himself entirely to his breeding operation and bought land near Moulins. Today he owns 80 hectares, of which 15 are used for harvest of barley and oats. He also produces hay and supplies this to local trainers.
The versatile André Quesny takes horses in for livery at grass or at rest in field equipped with shelters. He also takes care of foaling and horse transport. He is willing to travel across France and carries out return trips to Normandy on a weekly basis in spring.
Since he began, André Quesny has operated in association with numerous major breeders of the region such as Nicolas de Lageneste (Haras de Saint-Voir), Patrick Joubert and Gilles Trapenard. With his first broodmares acquired in 2000, he has produced New Rock, a winner in England and at Craon, Mag City (7 wins), Promo d'Alénior and Olhéa, both useful AQPS fillies on the flat.
He also has two mares from Guy de Villette's breeding enterprise. Kilimandjhara, the sister of Qocq'Corricco, is in foal to Dom Alco, and Chambolle Musigny who produced a Blushing Flame filly in 2007 and is one of the only, if not the only, mare in foal to Sabrehill in 2009.
