The base mare of their breeding operation is the AQPS Guinguette II, born in 1972 and who in her time beat the thoroughbreds on the flat. In total she won 10 races and took 17 places in 40 outings. She only bore 3 foals, all females including Akene IV who would become the dam of Pandolphe.
Now 21 years old, Akene IV is a daughter of former National Stud sire Kashtan, sire of Gr 1 steeplechase winner Parika. Akene IV won 4 cross country contests and her best offspring was Pandolphe. Her latest foal is a filly by Le Triton. One of Akene IV's daughters, the unraced Neustrien filly Lextrienne, was injured at stud and has been kept as a broodmare.
Her first product is Royal d'Arc, winner of 4 races and one place for her first 6 outings, and one of the best AQPS flat performers of her generation. She is followed by an Assessor filly born in 2007 and a filly born in 2008 by Le Triton like Royal d'Arc.
While the offspring of Akene IV are bred by Pierre Terrière, those of Lextrienne are registered by Nicole and Robert's company name, SCEA le Fragneau. The Terrière's have one other broodmare, the now-retired Baraka du Perche, a sister of Oteuil du Perche who has produced to date Lou du Perche, unfortunately fatally injured at Auteuil, jumps winner Rev d'Arc by Balleroy, and two males by Assessor born in 2007 and 2008.
