After gaining a wide range of equine experience in a variety of surroundings, from the Haras du Chêne Vert, to periods in racing stables with Philippe Peltier and in Germany, Jérôme Delaunay  set up his breeding establishment 10 minutes from Angers in January 2008.

He transformed a 32-hectare farm at Saint-Clement de la Place into a stud, building 25 new stables. He also uses a 25-hectare annexe 5 minutes away at Bécon les Granits.

Jérôme Delaunay takes in breeding horses for board, and provides on-site gynaecological follow-ups for mares as well as foaling services (25 during spring 2009). Video surveillance is used for mares, which are also equipped with mercury foaling alarms.

The Haras de la Courlaie is home to the retired Homme de Loi and stallion Agnes Kamikaze joined the stud in 2009. He will be joined in 2010 by Rifapour's brother Tiger Groom from Brittany where he covered 60 mares in 2009.

Jérôme Delaunay's personal breeding stock is composed of 4 mares including 1 AQPS, plus two trotting mares. He raised two fillies in 2008 by Gentlewave and Beleve, then added new broodmares in 2009.

The Haras de la Courlaie also has a breaking-in and pre-training centre (see details).

From the classic Sunday Break / Northern Taste cross, Agnes Kamikaze's production has been small in quantity but large in quality since his arrival in France. Available in the Anjou region in 2010.

This younger brother of Rifapour arrives in Anjou for 2010. He accomplished a full and varied career on the flat and above all over jumps as one of the best hurdlers at Auteuil. A young sire whose first crop are 2yo in 2010.
