Montmartre's book for 2010 already almost full

Montmartre's serial story, following this astonishing episode of the impossible start as a stallion in 2009, gets back to more favorable ways. While his libido finally but clearly broke out, his list is nearly full for his true debuts in 2010 at the Haras National du Pin.

Shortly after this forthcoming weekend's Normandy Stallions Tour (30th and 31st January), serious things will start for the French stallions, especially for Montmartre: the Haras National du Pin has decided not to wait for Valentine's Day on 14th February to launch the romps. And for good reason, Montmartre has a lot on his plate. His popularity, quite high during his takeoff on course notably in the Grand Prix de Paris or when arriving at the Haras National in March 2009, hasn't lowered in spite of his lateness at lighting up due to his lack of libido during the 1st semester. Last year, 100 mares had filled his book within a few days time. This year, covetousness have converged the same way, after the horse has shown his mental and physical ability to take on stud duties last Autumn.

Montmartre au Haras national du Pin

When purchased from the Aga Khan, Montmartre was syndicated in 15 shares for the Haras Nationaux and 30 private shares, each share providing the right to use two nominations for the first 3 years. Most of the shareholders, breeders more than investors, will use their nominations, directly filling his book up to 60 mares. Off the 30 nominations held by the Haras Nationaux, 27 have already been booked ! Amongst these outside mares that are booked, we can find amongst others Folle Garde, dam of Chichi Creasy, young stallion at the Haras de Grandcamp or even Nava des Ongrais, famous racehorse and nine times a winner. Names of the shareholders' mares will soon be listed, but we already know that the son of Montjeu will be covering several princesses.

Montmartre nominations already became gold dust. The rare nominations available from the shareholders are directly managed by Ghislain Bozo (+33 6 07 59 11 19). To take no chances, the Haras Nationaux have thus decided to start the season at the earliest and advices th rbeeders to only cover their mare when ovulating (a service that can be provided by the Haras du Pin). To be noted that his previous owner, the Aga Khan, retained 5 nominations, which brings Montmartre's book to 95. Depending on how Spring goes, 10 more nominations could be made available at the end of the season, as is usually done for most stallions which are already full.
