Jeune étalon fils de Dalakhani, installé au Haras de la Hêtraie, Centennial a eu son 1e foal le samedi 11 février avec la jument Garlinote, nièce de Carling et elle-même placée de groupe. Voir la photo de cette pouliche.

Elegant grey, quiet and talented, Centennial is the picture of his sire, in his physique as well as through his temperament, H.H Aga Khan's champion Dalakhani. Recruited by Pascal Noue at Haras de la Hêtraie in 2011, thanks to the UK bloodstock agent Richard Venn, Centennial just saw his first foal: a bay filly, first foal for her dam Garlinote. The mare is from the family of the excellent Carling (Prix de Diane) and was placed 2nd in Gr.3 Prix de Condé as a juvenile and Gr.3 Prix Chloé as a 3yo.

Trained in England by John Gosden, Centennial won the Classic Trial (Gr.3) over 1m2f at 3, and the Great Voltigeur Stakes (Gr.2), an important race ran over 1m4f considered as York's Derby. He was a precocious type: runner up to Thewayyouare, in the Prix Thomas Bryon (Gr.3). Then, he was placed twice in french Gr.3s, finishing 3rd in the Prix Niel to Vision d'Etat and 3rd to Watar in the Prix Chaudenay.

He comes from a great english family and is related to Croco Rouge, Ali-Royal, Taipan and Sleepytime, all Gr.1 winners. He is out of a Lure mare, a rare sire as he had fertility problems, sire of Orpen.
