Après avoir patienté, le pensionnaire de Yasuo Tomomichi a fourni une superbe accélération en dehors pour prendre l'avantage tout à la fin, et a même battu le record de l'épreuve. Issu de l'étalon de Shadai Kizuna (Deep Impact), Justin Milano est un fils de l'excellente Margot Did (Exceed And Excel), qui a notamment remporté les Nunthorpe Stakes (Gr.1) à York. Il est le 3e gagnant de Groupe de sa mère après Mission Impassible (Galileo), lauréate du Prix de Sandringham (Gr.2), 2e des Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes et 3e du Prix Marcel Boussac (Grs.1), et Magic Attitude (Galileo), gagnante des Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes (Gr.1), des Sheepshead Bay Stakes (Gr.2) et du Prix Vanteaux (Gr.3).
