Gulfstream Park (USA) : Kertez d'emblée
Vendu pour 150.000 € à la vente de l’Arc de Triomphe, Kertez (Intello), un ancien protégé d’André Fabre, qui s’était notamment classé second du Grand Prix de Chantilly (Gr.2) réussit ses débuts outre-Atlantique, pour Christophe Clément, en s’imposant dans les Pan Américan Stakes (Gr.2). Monté par Joël Rosario, Kertez termine le plus vite pour s’imposer, sur le fil, devant Harry Hood (First Samouraï) et Tawny Port (Pioneerof The Nil), son compagnon d’entraînement. Elevé par les Frères Wertheimer, Kertez est un fils d’Intello, qui fait la monte au Haras de Beaumont et de Distortion, une sœur de l’étalon Falco, gagnant de la Poule d’Essai des Poulains (Gr.1), qui avant lui avait produit Twist (Pivotal), qui termina deuxième à 3 ans du Prix de Saint-Patrick (L).
