Ascot : Oxted détrône Battaash

Lauréat de la July Cup Gr.1 l’année dernière à Newmarket, le hongre de 5 ans Oxted (Mayson) retrouve son niveau de l’an passé et triomphe dans le King’s Stand Stakes Gr.1 sur les 1000 mètres d’Ascot. Après un début de carrière chez Carlos Laffon-Parias, le 6 ans Arecibo (Invincible Spirit) crée une énorme surprise en obtenant le premier accessit pour l’écurie de Robert Cowell. Le grand favori Battaash (Dark Angel) ne parvient pas à garder son titre et échoue à la quatrième place. Associé au jeune Cieren Fallon, Oxted offre une très belle victoire à son mentor Roger Teal.
