Doté d'un modèle magnifique, ce robuste cheval de course a terminé sa carrière en apothéose car un succès de Gr.1 à Epsom devant Dolniya et Flintshire. Par ailleurs multiple gagnant et placé de groupes et listed, il a débuté sa carrière d'étalon directement dans le registre de l'obstacle (fait rarissime pour un gagnant de Gr.1 sur 2400m) en Angleterre, à Yorton Farm en 2016.
Sa première génération s'est illustrée en France avec Anneloralas, gagnante du prix Paul's Cray à Auteuil et placée de 2 listeds. Très apprécié outre-Manche, ses stores se sont vendus jusqu'à 75 000 £ à la Yorton Sale 2021.
Vainqueur de sa première Listed à 3 ans, il s'est élevé au niveau des groupes à 4 ans en gagnant tout d'abord les Glorious Stakes (Gr.3) à Goodwood avant de s'imposer très facilement dans un Gr.2 international à Istanbul en Turquie, et d'enchaîner sur les Cumberland Lodge Stakes (Gr.3) à Ascot. A 5 ans, il réalise un exploit dans la Coronation Cup, grâce à un changement de vitesse spectacualire, où il domine les deux champions français Dolniya et Flintshire.

Etalon installé à Yorton Farm chez David Futter, Pether's Moon voit sa première génération de 3 ans briller avec peu de partants en France. Sa fille Anneloralas, issue de la Yorton Sale, a gagné cet après-midi le prix Paul's Cray à Auteuil, et offre un premier gagnant au fils de Dylan Thomas.
Si vous êtes libre à 18h, heure française, en soirée, nous vous avons trouvé le passe temps tout indiqué. En effet, Yorton Farm effectue un live sur son Facebook pour annoncer les gagnants de leur grand tirage au sort de saillies. Il y aura également une présentation en direct de ses 6 étalons: Pether's Moon, Norse Dancer, Gentlewave, Linda's Lad, et surtout les très en forme Scalo et Masterstroke.

Ce mardi 13 décembre 2016 avait lieu à Yorton Farm au Pays de Galles la deuxième parade des étalons organisé par David Futter. 5 des 7 étalons, dont le nouveau venu Clovis du Berlais, ont été présentés au public venu nombreux. Vainqueur de la Coronation Cup (Gr.1) 2015 devant Dolniya et Flintshire, le très beau Pether's Moon a débuté sa carrière d'étalon dans la cour d'obstacle de Yorton Farm en 2016. Il entame sa 2e saison de monte en 2017. David Futter le fait découvrir en vidéo ci-dessous.
